She previously worked with the National Trust, spending 5 years as the Gifts in Wills Assistant. Specialising in Legacy Storytelling and In Memory Giving, she developed the Legacy Storybank into a rich resource for staff. Detailing legacy gifts, personal stories and the outcomes and activities funded by gifts in wills, it is primarily for use by marketing and property teams to promote and record the impact of gifts in wills over the years. Prior to this Lorna worked in the Collections Management and Archive & Records teams at the National Trust after many years in higher education and media organisations.
A former librarian, Lorna also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Archives and Records Management and a Certificate in Fundraising before moving into the Legacy Administration world, where she hopes to bring together her varied work experiences and knowledge. She is passionate about research and storytelling and all forms of data management.
