Rebecca started working with Legacy Link in 2022 as a Developing Consultant and brings her creative and communication skills to the role.

Rebecca graduated in 2005 with a 1st Class degree in Landscape Design and worked for various architects practices before specialising in designing playgrounds for Doncaster Council.

The arrival of her three children allowed her to embrace being a Mum full time. Finding time over the subsequent years to volunteer and work for her church, the local coffee shop, design the odd garden for friends and start many creative craft projects!

A relocation to Scotland in 2019 and her youngest child starting school sparked a desire to find a new career path flexible around family but equally rewarding. Delayed by COVID Rebecca finally started at Christian Aid as a Legacy Assistant helping reduce their backlog of cases moving on to oversee their Pecuniary cases. Following a recruitment drive Rebecca was then asked to train the new Legacy Officer.

She has since supported a variety of charities with short-term cover and her design and creative skills have been put to good use within the wider Legacy Futures Group.

In her spare time Rebecca loves to make ceramics in her pottery studio in the garden and walk Monty the Corgi in the beautiful Loch Ard forest where she lives.

Rebecca Rowthorn

Legacy Consultant

We are thankful for all Rebecca's efforts over the last months, particularly for her deep dives into data and all round reliability. I always knew if I left her a task it would be done without chasing which was such a help when we were low on resource. Margaret Marshall, Legacy Manager . Christian Aid

It has been great working with Rebecca for the last 16 months and Christian Aid have been very lucky to have her. Thanks to all her hard work and being pro-active getting things sorted out, especially our older cases, everything is in such better shape. Julia Catterall, Legacy Case Team Manager. Christian Aid
